Georgia’s 2008 and 2009 Country Male Vocalist of the Year delivered a 1+ hour set of contemporary and classic rock and country covers with a handful of original works mixed in.
As a former house singer, Ross was familiar and well received by the fans in attendance. Exceptional stage presence and vocal diversity was demonstrated throughout the set. The supporting band was comprised of local pros and session players who equally nailed it.

From a photography perspective, this venue offers one of the finest stages and in house light productions of all mid size (~5000 seat) venues in Atlanta. If the lighting board falls into the hands of a local or touring pro, the lighting is predictable and hits the sweet spot of the Nikon D700 system. Tonight was no exception with exposures falling into ISO 1600-3200 @ F2.8 – 3.2. The expansive stage meant the Nikon 24-70 and 70-200 2.8 pulled shared lens duty. The pit was not enforced this night so shooting was amongst the crowd at the front of the stage which limited creative shooting angles.
